Saugatuck Man Sentenced for Criminal Sexual Conduct and Child Sexually Abusive Material

SAUGATUCK, MICH. The Michigan State Police (MSP) Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force is announcing the sentence of Justin Williams, 26, of Saugatuck, on charges of Criminal Sexual Conduct (CSC) and Child Sexually Abusive Material (CSAM).

On January 11, 2021, Williams pleaded guilty to first degree CSC and was sentenced to 18 years 9 months to 50 years. Williams also pleaded guilty to aggravated possession of CSAM and was sentenced to 7 years 11 months to 25 years. Williams’ case was prosecuted by the Allegan County Prosecutor’s Office.

The investigation was initiated by the Fifth District Computer Crimes Unit when a suspect was found to be in possession of CSAM and manufacturing CSAM. A search warrant was executed at Williams’ home and digital evidence was seized. Examination of the digital evidence showed evidence of a CSC first, manufacture CSAM, and possession of CSAM.
