Romulus Resident Arrested for Aggravated Child Sexually Abusive Activity

ROMULUS, MICH. The Michigan State Police (MSP) Computer Crimes Unit, Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force is announcing the arrest of Jelani Amiri Robinson, 23, of Romulus, for aggravated possession of child sexually abusive material, and using a computer to commit a crime.
Robinson was arrested following an investigation originating from a cyber tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC). A search of Robinson’s residence resulted in digital evidence being seized.
Robinson was charged with four counts of aggravated possession of child sexually abusive material, and four counts of using a computer to commit a crime. Robinson was arraigned in the 34th District Court on Thursday May 16.
If convicted, Robinson faces up to 10 years in prison for the charge of aggravated possession of child sexually abusive material, and up to 10 years in prison for using a computer to commit a crime.
