Richland Man Arrested for Child Sexually Abusive Activity

RICHLAND, MICH. An investigation conducted by the Michigan State Police (MSP) Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force has resulted in the arrest of a man from Richland. Anthony Hotchkiss, 35, was arrested and arraigned on Aug. 24, 2020.

The investigation stemmed from a National Center for Missing and Exploited Children tip. The tip contained images of child sexually abusive material. Further investigation led to locating a residence in Richland where the suspect was residing. An interview and search warrant of the suspect’s residence was conducted. The interview confirmed that the child sexually abusive material was going to be attributed to Hotchkiss. An arrest warrant was issued for Hotchkiss.

Hotchkiss has been charged with possession of child sexually abusive material and use of a computer to commit a crime.
