Port Hope Resident Arrested for Possession of Child Sexually Abusive Material

PORT HOPE, MICH. The Michigan State Police (MSP) Computer Crimes Unit, Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force is announcing the arrest of Zachary Scott Lemanski, 24 of Port Hope, for possession of child sexually abusive material, child sexually abusive activity and using a computer to commit a crime.

Lemanski was arrested following an investigation that was initiated when it was learned he was viewing files of child sexually abusive material on the internet. A search of Lemanski’s residence resulted in digital evidence being seized.

Lemanski was charged with one count of possession of child sexually abusive material, one count of child sexually abusive activity, and one count of using a computer to commit a crime. Lemanski was arraigned in 73B District Court on Tuesday, February 22.

The MSP ICAC Task Force was assisted on-scene by the Bad Axe Police Department and the Huron County Sheriff’s Office.
