Port Austin Resident Arrested for Distribution of Child Sexually Abusive Material

PORT AUSTIN, MICH. The Michigan State Police (MSP) Computer Crimes Unit, Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force is announcing the arrest of Michael Leonard Henne, 30 of Port Austin, for child sexually abusive activity – aggravated distribution and using a computer to commit a crime.

Henne was arrested following an investigation in which digital evidence was seized from his home. The investigation was initiated when it was learned that Henne was sharing files of child sexually abusive material on the internet.

Henne was charged with one count child sexually abusive activity – aggravated distribution, and one count of using a computer to commit a crime. Henne was arraigned in the 73B District Court on Friday, July 5.

MSP was assisted on-scene by the Bad Axe Police Department, Port Austin Police Department, and the Huron County Sheriff’s Office Drug Task Force.
