Owosso Resident Arrested for Aggravated Possession of Child Sexually Abusive Material

OWOSSO, MICH. The Michigan State Police (MSP) Computer Crimes Unit, Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force is announcing the arrest of Daniel Leonard Herrick, 56 of Owosso, for aggravated possession and distribution of child sexually abusive material and using a computer to commit a crime.
Herrick was arrested following an investigation in which digital evidence was seized from his residence. The investigation was initiated when it was learned that Herrick was viewing files of child sexually abusive material on the internet.
Herrick was charged with one count of aggravated possession of child sexually abusive material, one count of distribution of child sexually abusive material, and one count of using a computer to commit a crime. Herrick was arraigned in the 66th District Court on Friday, April 12.
