Ottawa County Man Arrested for Child Sexually Abusive Material

TALLMADGE TWP., MICH. The Michigan State Police (MSP) Computer Crimes Unit, Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force is announcing the arrest of Robert Bruce Kelly, 75, of Ottawa County, for aggravated possession of child sexually abusive material and using a computer to commit a crime.
Kelly was arrested following an investigation in which digital evidence was seized from his residence. The investigation was initiated when it was learned that Kelly was searching, viewing, and downloading files of child sexually abusive material on the internet.
Kelly was charged with three counts of aggravated possession of child sexually abusive material, and three counts of using a computer to commit a crime. Kelly was arraigned in the 58th District Court on Thursday, November 2.
If convicted, Kelly faces up to 10 years in prison for the possession of child sexually abusive material, and 10 years in prison for using a computer to commit a crime.
