Oakland County Resident Arrested for Aggravated Possession of Child Sexually Abusive Material

NOVI, MICH. The Michigan State Police (MSP) Computer Crimes Unit (CCU), Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force, is announcing the arrest and arraignment of Andrew Joseph Keith, 27 of Novi, for aggravated possession of child sexually abusive material.

The investigation began early this year, when police became aware of Keith possessing upwards of 50,000 files concerning child pornography. Further investigation and the execution of a search warrant at his home in Novi led to his arrest.

Keith was taken into custody on Sept. 10, by the MSP with assistance from the Novi Police Department. He was arraigned on Friday, Sept. 11, at the 52-1 District Court on five counts of aggravated possession of child sexually abusive material and five counts of using a computer to commit a crime. He was issued a $25,000 cash bond and lodged at the Oakland County Jail.
