Negaunee Man Arrested for Child Sexually Abusive Activity

NEGAUNEE, MICH. The Michigan State Police (MSP) Computer Crimes Unit, Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force is announcing the arrest of John Fitzgerald Anderson, 22, for child sexually abusive activity – aggravated distribution and using a computer to commit a crime.
Anderson was arrested following an investigation which was initiated when it was learned Anderson was viewing files of child sexually abusive material on the internet. A search of his residence resulted in digital evidence being seized.
Anderson was charged with nine counts of child sexually abusive activity – aggravated distribution and nine counts of using a computer to commit a crime. Anderson was arraigned in the 96th District Court on August 21.
If convicted, Anderson faces up to 15 years in prison for the child sexually abusive activity – aggravated distribution and 10 years in prison for using a computer to commit a crime.
