Midland Resident Arrested for Possession and Distribution of Child Sexually Abusive Material

MIDLAND, MICH. The Michigan State Police (MSP) Computer Crimes Unit, Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force is announcing the arrest of Timothy George Maxwell, 31 of Midland, for possession and distribution of child sexually abusive material.
Maxwell was arrested following an investigation in which digital evidence was seized from his home. The investigation was initiated when it was learned that Maxwell was viewing and sharing files of child sexually abusive material on the internet.
Maxwell was charged with one count of distributing child sexually abusive material, and one count of possessing child sexually abusive material. He was arraigned in the United States District Court, Eastern District of Michigan on Wednesday, June 7.
