Macomb Twp Resident Arrested for Aggravated Child Sexually Abusive Activity

MACOMB, MICH. The Michigan State Police (MSP) Computer Crimes Unit, Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force is announcing the arraignment of Evan James Trella, 19, of Macomb, for aggravated possession of child sexually abusive material, and using a computer to commit a crime.
Trella was arrested following an investigation that originated from a cyber tip received from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC). A search of Trella’s residence resulted in digital evidence being seized.
Trella was charged with three counts of aggravated possession of child sexually abusive material, and three counts of using a computer to commit a crime. Trella was arraigned in the 41A District Court on Monday, February 5.
If convicted, Trella faces up to 20 years in prison for the charge of aggravated possession of child sexually abusive material, and 10 to 20 years in prison for using a computer to commit a crime.
