Laurium Couple Arrested for Child Sexually Abusive Material

LAURIUM, MICH. The Michigan State Police (MSP) Computer Crimes Unit, Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force is announcing the arrest of Willaim Nicholas Horner, 43, and Stacey Jean Horner, 42, of Laurium, for child sexually abusive material – aggravated possession, and using a computer to commit a crime.
The Horner’s were arrested following an investigation which was initiated when it was learned the Horner’s were viewing files of child sexually abusive material on the internet. A search of their residence resulted in digital evidence being seized.
Both William Horner and Stacey Horner were charged with two counts of child sexually abusive material-aggravated possession, and two counts of using a computer to commit a crime. The Horner’s were arraigned in the 97th District Court on January 19.
If convicted, The Horner’s face up to 10 years in prison for the child sexually abusive material-aggravated possession, and 10 years in prison for using a computer to commit a crime.
