Kalkaska Man Arrested for Aggravated Possession of Child Sexually Abusive Material

KALKASKA, MICH. The Michigan State Police (MSP) Computer Crimes Unit, Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force is announcing the arrest of Frederick Morse,47, of Kalkaska, for aggravated possession of child sexually abusive material and using a computer to commit a crime.

Morse was arrested following an investigation which began when a tip was received from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC). A search of Morse’s residence resulted in numerous internet capable devices being seized.

Morse was charged with five counts of aggravated possession of child sexually abusive material and five counts of using a computer to commit a crime. Morse was arraigned in the 87-B Judicial District Court on May 22.

The MSP ICAC Task Force was assisted by the MSP Canine Team, 7th District ES Team, 7th District Fugitive Team, Kalkaska County Sheriff’s Department and the MSP Houghton Lake Post.
