Jackson Resident Arrested for Aggravated Possession of Child Sexually Abusive Material

JACKSON, MICH. The Michigan State Police (MSP) Computer Crimes Unit, Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force is announcing the arrest of Ralph Debruler III, 42, of Jackson, for aggravated possession of child sexually abusive material and using a computer to commit a crime.

Debruler was arrested after an investigation that was initiated when it was learned Debruler was sharing child sexually abusive material over the internet. A search of Debruler’s residence resulted in digital evidence being seized.

Debruler was charged with three counts of aggravated possession of child sexually abusive material and three counts of using a computer to commit a crime. Debruler was arraigned in the 12th District Court on Friday, August 25.

If convicted, Debruler faces up to 20 years in prison for aggravated possession of child sexually abusive material and 10 to 20 years in prison for using a computer to commit a crime.
