Harrison Man Arrested for Child Sexually Abusive Material

HARRISON, MICH. The Michigan State Police (MSP) Computer Crimes Unit, Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force is announcing the arrest of Vernon Perry Wilson, 64, of Harrison, for aggravated child sexually abusive activity, and using a computer to commit a crime.
Wilson was arrested following an investigation in which digital evidence was seized from his residence. The investigation was initiated when it was learned that Wilson had files of child sexually abusive material.
Wilson was charged with eight counts of aggravated child sexually abusive activity, and eight counts of using a computer to commit a crime. Wilson was arraigned in the 80th District Court on Tuesday, December 26.
If convicted, Wilson faces up to 25 years in prison for aggravated child sexually abusive activity, and 20 years in prison for using a computer to commit a crime.
