Grand Rapids Man Arrested for Child Sexually Abusive Activity Investigation Finds Exploitation of Minor Children

GRAND RAPIDS, MICH. The Michigan State Police (MSP) Computer Crimes Unit (CCU), Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force, is announcing the arrest of Joseph Adam Parent, 31 of Grand Rapids, following a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC).

The MSP CCU/ICAC Task Force Grand Rapids Office, along with the assistance of the Grand Rapids Police Department, arrested Parent following a search warrant at his residence. Additional evidence was seized, and he was lodged at the Kent County Jail. The Kent County Prosecutor’s Office charged Parent and he was arraigned on two counts of distribution of child sexually abusive material and two counts of using a computer to commit a crime.
