Freeland Resident Arrested for Child Sexually Abusive Activity/Material


FREELAND, MICH. The Michigan State Police (MSP) Computer Crimes Unit, Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force is announcing the arrest of Benjamin Michael Clore, 43 of Freeland, for child sexually abusive activity, possession of child sexually abusive material, and using a computer/internet to commit a criminal offense.

Clore was arrested following an investigation in which digital evidence was seized from his home. The investigation was initiated when it was learned that Clore was viewing and distributing files of child sexually abusive material on the internet.

Following the search warrant to his residence, Clore was charged with one count of child sexually abusive activity, one count of possession of child sexually abusive material, and one count of using a computer to commit a criminal offense. Clore was arraigned in 70th District Court on Thursday, May 5.
