Fenton Resident Arrested for Aggravated Possession of Child Sexually Abusive Material

FENTON, MICH. The Michigan State Police (MSP) Computer Crimes Unit, Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force is announcing the arrest of Jacob Yates, 23 of Fenton, for aggravated possession of child sexually abusive material and using a computer to commit a crime.

Yates is on probation and was arrested following an investigation in which digital evidence was seized from his possession. The investigation was initiated after a Michigan Department of Corrections (MDOC) residence visit for probation violations.

Yates was charged with one count of aggravated possession of child sexually abusive material and one count of using a computer to commit a crime. Yates was arraigned in the 67th District Court on Tuesday, January 21.
