Essexville Resident Arrested for Possession and Transportation of Child Sexually Abusive Material

ESSEXVILLE, MICH. The Michigan State Police (MSP) Computer Crimes Unit, Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force is announcing the arrest of Michael Everett Hiltz, 35 of Essexville, for possession and transportation of child sexually abusive material.
The investigation was initiated when it was learned that Hiltz was sharing files of child sexually abusive material on the internet which resulted in the seizure of digital evidence from his home. Hiltz, who was incarcerated at the Parnall Correctional Facility on unrelated charges, was arraigned on the new charges in the United States District Court, Eastern District of Michigan, on Monday, February 26.
Hiltz was charged with one count of possession of child sexually abusive material and one count of transportation of child sexually abusive material. Hiltz was arraigned in the United States District Court, Eastern District of Michigan on Monday, February 26.
