Cutlerville Man Arrested for Child Sexually Abusive Material

CUTLERVILLE, MICH. The Michigan State Police (MSP) Computer Crimes Unit, Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force is announcing the arrest of Zechariah Noah Hoogerhyde, 35 of Cutlerville, for aggravated possession of child sexually abusive material, using a computer to commit a crime, and sex offender – failure to register address.

Hoogerhyde was arrested following an investigation that was initiated when it was learned that Hoogerhyde was sharing files of child sexually abusive material on the internet.

Hoogerhyde was charged with three counts of aggravated possession of child sexually abusive material, three counts of using a computer to commit a crime, and one count of sex offender – failure to register address. Hoogerhyde was arraigned in the 63rd District Court on Friday, April 11.

If convicted, Hoogerhyde faces up 10 years in prison for aggravated possession of child sexually abusive material, 10 years in prison for using a computer to commit a crime, and 4 years in prison for sex offender – failure to register address.
