Comstock Park Man Arrested for Criminal Sexual Conduct and Child Sexually Abusive Material

COMSTOCK PARK, MICH. The Michigan State Police (MSP) Computer Crimes Unit, Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force is announcing the arrest of Jose Montoya, 60, of Comstock Park, for criminal sexual conduct 2nd degree, aggravated child sexually abusive activity, aggravated possession of child sexually abusive material, and using a computer to commit a crime.
Montoya was arrested following an investigation that was initiated when it was learned that Montoya was downloading, viewing, and uploading files of child sexually abusive material on the internet. A search of Montoya’s residence resulted in digital evidence being seized.
Montoya charged with one count of criminal sexual conduct 2nd degree, one count of aggravated child sexually abusive activity, one count of aggravated possession of child sexually abusive material, and one count of using a computer to commit a crime. Montoya was arraigned in the 63rd District Court on Friday, February 16.
If convicted, Montoya faces up to 15 years in prison for criminal sexual conduct 2nd Degree, 25 years in prison for aggravated child sexually abusive activity, 10 years in prison for aggravated possession of child sexually abusive material, and 20 years in prison for using a computer to commit a crime.
