Clyde Resident Arrested for Aggravated Distribution of Child Sexually Abusive Material

CLYDE, MICH. The Michigan State Police (MSP) Computer Crimes Unit, Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force is announcing the arrest of Thomas Jacob Hinkle, 44 of Clyde, for aggravated distribution of child sexually abusive material, aggravated possession of child sexually abusive material, and using a computer to commit a crime.

Hinkle was arrested following an investigation in which digital evidence was seized from his residence. The investigation was initiated when it was learned that Hinkle was distributing files of child sexually abusive material on the internet.

Hinkle was charged with one count of aggravated distribution of child sexually abusive material, two counts of aggravated possession of child sexually abusive material, and three counts using a computer to commit a crime. Hinkle was arraigned in the 72 District Court on Friday, October 11.
