Clare County Man Arrested for Child Sexually Abusive Material

GRAND RAPIDS, MICH. The Michigan State Police (MSP) Computer Crimes Unit, Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force is announcing the arrest of Zachariah Doucet, 33 of Clare County, for criminal sexual conduct – 2nd degree (person under 13), aggravated child sexually abusive activity, distribution/promoting of child sexually abusive material, and using a computer to commit a crime.
Doucet was arrested following an investigation into his online activity. The investigation was initiated when it was learned that Doucet was communicating with individuals on the internet and creating and sharing files of child sexually abusive material.
Doucet was charged with one count of criminal sexual conduct – 2nd degree (person under 13), three counts of aggravated child sexually abusive activity, three counts of distributing/promotion of child sexually abusive material, and six counts of using a computer to commit a crime. Doucet was arraigned in the 80th District Court on Wednesday, August 7.
If convicted, Doucet faces up to 25 years in prison for aggravated child sexually abusive activity, 15 years in prison for promoting/distributing child sexually abusive material, 20 years in prison for using a computer to commit a crime, and 15 years in prison for criminal sexual conduct - 2nd degree (person under 13).
