Cadillac Resident Arrested for Possession of Child Sexually Abusive Material

CADILLAC, MICH. The Michigan State Police (MSP) Computer Crimes Unit, Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force is announcing the arrest of Aaron Charles Beals, 29, of Cadillac, for possession of child sexually abusive material.

The investigation was initiated when a tip was received from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC). As a result of the investigation, several electronic devices were seized from his home.

Aaron Beals was charged with one count of child sexually abusive material – possession 2nd offense and one count of using a computer to commit a crime. Beals was arraigned in 84th District Court on Wednesday, November 17. Beals was on parole during the time of the investigation and was subsequently returned to prison for a parole violation. The MSP ICAC Task Force was assisted by the Michigan State Police Cadillac Post and the Michigan Department of Corrections.
