Branch County Man Arrested for Child Sexually Abusive Material

Coldwater, MICH. The Michigan State Police (MSP), Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force is announcing the arrest of Christopher Jackson Fowler, 44 of Coldwater, for possession of child sexually abusive material and computer crimes – use of a computer.

The investigation was initiated by the Fifth District Computer Crimes Unit when a suspect was found to be downloading a large amount of child sexually abusive material (CSAM). A search warrant was conducted at Fowler’s residence and digital evidence was seized. Troopers from the MSP Marshall Post, Coldwater Detachment and officers from the Coldwater Police Department assisted with the search warrant.

An arrest warrant was issued for Fowler and he was subsequently arrested on January 14, 2021. He has been charged with possession of CSAM and using a computer to commit a Felony.
