Bay City Resident Arrested for Aggravated Possession of Child Sexually Abusive Material and Using a Computer to Commit a Crime

BAY CITY, MICH. The Michigan State Police (MSP) Computer Crimes Unit, Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force is announcing the arrest of Gerald Daniel Sutter III, 52 of Bay City, for aggravated possession of child sexually abusive material and using a computer to commit a crime.

Sutter was arrested following an investigation in which digital evidence was seized from his home. The investigation was initiated when it was learned that Sutter was viewing files of child sexually abusive material on the internet.

Following the search warrant to his residence, Sutter was charged with three counts of aggravated possession of child sexually abusive material and one count of using a computer to commit a crime. Sutter was arraigned in 74th District Court on Tuesday, January 18.
