Bay City Resident Arrested for Aggravated Possession of Child Sexually Abusive Material

BAY CITY, MICH. The Michigan State Police (MSP) Computer Crimes Unit, Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force is announcing the arrest of Zachary James Wittkopp, 25 of Bay City, for aggravated possession of child sexually abusive material and sodomy.

Wittkopp was arrested following an investigation in which digital evidence was seized from his person. The investigation was initiated when it was learned that Wittkopp was viewing files of child sexually abusive material on the internet.

Wittkopp was charged with four counts of aggravated possession of child sexually abusive material, one count of possession of child sexually abusive material, and one count of sodomy. Wittkopp was arraigned in the 70th District Court on Wednesday, July 10.
