KALAMAZOO COUNTY RESIDENT ARRESTED FOR CRIMINAL SEXUAL CONDUCT

[COMPUTER CRIMES UNIT, COLDWATER], MICH. Troopers from the Coldwater Computer Crimes Unit arrested Shannon Renee Moore, 35, from Kalamazoo on 5-17-19 for Criminal Sexual Conduct 1st Degree (Person Under the age of 13 years), Child Sexually Abusive Activity, and Use of a Computer to Commit a Crime.

Moore is suspected of sexually assaulting a minor child, creating video recordings of the events, and sharing the videos with other persons using the internet. A warrant was obtained for Moore’s arrest and she was arrested without incident in Texas Township, Kalamazoo County.

The incident stemmed from a Cybertip generated by the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC). The investigation resulted in the identification/rescue of 3 minor children who are believed to have been victimized by the suspect. We were assisted in the investigation and apprehension of the suspect by members of the Kalamazoo County Sheriff’s Department. There is at least one additional suspect being developed in this case as the investigation moves forward.

If convicted, Moore faces 25 years in prison. She was arraigned in the Kalamazoo District Court on the morning of Monday May 20, 2019.
