Grand Rapids Man Arrested for Child Sexually Abusive Activity Investigation Finds Exploitation of Minor Children


GRAND RAPIDS, MICH. The Michigan State Police (MSP) Computer Crimes Unit (CCU), Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force, is announcing the arrest of James Henry Vanluinen, 65 of Grand Rapids, following an investigation stemming from a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC).

The MSP CCU/ICAC Task Force Grand Rapids Office, along with the assistance of the Grand Rapids Police Department (ICAC affiliate agency), arrested Vanluinen following a search warrant at his residence. Additional evidence was seized, and he was lodged at the Kent County Jail. The Kent County Prosecutor’s Office charged Vanluinen and he was arraigned on child sexually abusive material, accosting a child for immoral purposes, and two counts of using a computer to commit a crime.
