Bay City Resident Arrested for Child Sexually Abusive Activity and Using a Computer to Commit a Crime
BAY CITY, MICH. The Michigan State Police (MSP) Computer Crimes Unit, Internet Crimes Against
Children Task Force is announcing the arrest of Gerald David Eichinger, 76 of Bay City, for child sexually abusive activity, possession of child sexually abusive materials and using a computer to commit a crime.
Eichinger was arrested following an investigation in which digital evidence was seized from his home. The investigation was initiated when it was learned that Eichinger was sharing child sexually abusive materials on the internet.
Following a forensic examination of the digital evidence, Eichinger was charged with one count of child sexually abusive activity, one count of possession of child sexually abusive material and two counts of using a computer to commit a crime. Eichinger was arraigned in the 74th District Court on Wednesday, Sept. 11.
