Battle Creek Man Arrested for Possession of Child Sexually Abusive Material and Using a Computer to Commit a Crime

BATTLE CREEK, MICH. The Michigan State Police (MSP) Computer Crimes Unit, Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force in Coldwater is announcing the arrest of Jeffrey McGinnis, 44, of Battle Creek, for possession of child sexually abusive material and using a computer to commit a crime.

McGinnis was arrested following an investigation in which digital evidence was seized from his home. The investigation was initiated when it was learned that McGinnis was downloading and sharing child sexually abusive material via the internet.

McGinnis was arrested and arraigned on 7/7/20 with the 10th District Court in Calhoun County.
